In September of 2025, The McGannon Foundation had the exciting opportunity to bring a group of students to the RIMS Canada Conference 2025 – Calgary. Held from September 14–17 at the Calgary TELUS Convention Centre, the conference is one of Canada’s premier gatherings for risk management professionals — featuring keynote speakers, practical sessions, panel discussions, and valuable networking opportunities with leaders and innovators in the field.
For our students, this experience was more than just attending sessions — it was a chance to immerse themselves in real-world industry conversations, explore emerging topics like strategic risk planning and DEI in the workplace, and connect with professionals shaping the future of risk management.
We’re proud of the curiosity and engagement our students brought to the event. Their participation at RIMS Canada Conference 2025 highlighted the importance of early exposure to professional development opportunities and reinforced our belief in hands-on learning outside the classroom.
