2013-2014 Scholarship Applications
March 3rd, 2014
To Joe Restoule and the Board of Directors and Officers of the William H. McGannon Foundation,
Merci beaucoup, danke, grazie, 謝謝, ありがとう, dziękuję, mulțumesc, thank you! No matter how many different ways to say thank you, it would not fully express how grateful I am to be a recipient of the McGannon Foundation Scholarship. I was overjoyed when I received an email from Joe informing me that I was a recipient of the McGannon Foundation Scholarship. With such awesome people supporting and encouraging the young minds to grow and expand more into risk management education, it gives me great pride to say that I will soon be part of such an incredible community.
With this scholarship, I am now able to attend the International Insurance Markets course in Bermuda and London without having to worry about the cost of tuition. I will be able to focus on completing my last course and experiencing the operations of the increasingly global insurance markets at the two top international markets in the world.
I will always remember the moment I knew I was meant to be in the risk management industry. It was at a meet-and-greet industry event during my first undergrad year at the University of Calgary. Everybody at the event was super passionate about their work, and the most welcoming people. The atmosphere was just amazing. I look forward to becoming involved in the risk community upon graduation and sharing my passion with other young minds.
Thank you so much again for everything and I look forward to contributing back to the McGannon foundation in the future.
